Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 3, 2026

Inkly helps you build interactive product demos from a prompt and share them as a single link. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the control you have over your data. We keep it plain — founder to founder.

1. Information we collect

We collect information in three ways:

Information you give us

  • Account details — your name, email address, and password (or single sign-on identifier) when you create an Inkly account.
  • Demo content — the prompts you write, screenshots and HTML you capture, branding you apply, and any data you add to a demo or sandbox.
  • Communications — messages you send us through support, sales, or feedback channels.

Information we collect automatically

  • Usage data — pages viewed, features used, and actions taken inside the product.
  • Demo analytics — when someone opens a demo you shared, we record aggregate engagement such as views, visitors, clicks, and drop-off so you can measure interest.
  • Device and log data — IP address, browser type, operating system, and timestamps.

Information from third parties

If you sign in through a provider (for example Google or GitHub) or connect an AI coding agent, we receive the basic profile and authorization details needed to make that connection work.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve Inkly and generate your demos;
  • Give you analytics on the demos you share;
  • Authenticate you and keep your account secure;
  • Respond to support requests and communicate about your account, including service and security notices;
  • Understand how the product is used so we can make it better;
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues; and
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Your demos and content

Your demos are yours. The content you create with Inkly — including the prompts, captures, and exported code — belongs to you. We process it only to operate the service on your behalf: to generate, store, render, and share the demos you build.

When you export a demo as code, that code leaves the platform and lives wherever you put it. Once exported into your own repository or hosting, that copy is governed by your systems and practices, not this policy.

4. AI agents and third-party models

Inkly works with your own AI coding agent (such as Claude, Cursor, or Codex) and may use third-party AI model providers to generate and refine demos. When you prompt a demo, the relevant prompt and context may be sent to these providers to produce the result.

We only send what's needed to fulfill your request, and we work with providers who commit not to use your content to train their models for their own purposes. Each provider handles data under its own terms, which we encourage you to review.

5. How we share information

We share information only in these limited cases:

  • Service providers — vendors who host infrastructure, process payments, send email, or provide AI models, acting on our instructions.
  • People you share demos with — anyone you send a demo link to can view that demo and its content.
  • Legal reasons — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Inkly, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand product usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.

7. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete a demo or close your account, we delete or anonymize the associated data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal, security, or accounting requirements.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can:

  • Update your account details from your settings;
  • Delete demos or your account at any time; and
  • Contact us to exercise any of the rights above.

We'll respond to verified requests as required by applicable law, such as the GDPR and CCPA.

9. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls, and regular review — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe and to notify you promptly if something goes wrong.

10. Children's privacy

Inkly is not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use Inkly after an update means you accept the revised policy.
